Gender Equality In Our Society

      Do women have an equal status in our society compared with men? Do they should have? Or is it possible for them to be equal with men? Considering these questions, gender equality is a problem that we should be faced with.

      As we all know, sexual equality has been a desirable goal of liberalists all over the world for a long time. In feudal society, people have the ethical codes discriminating against women. Therefore, women, in history, were struggling unequal status. If you were a woman that time, you would feel quite gloomy. In the middle and late stages of the Ming Dynasty, Chinese people began to be aware of the importance of sexual equality. Nowadays, you should feel rejoiced if you are a girl because people now in our society make no discrimination in sex. We can see that women now have the same rights with men, and that many policy that defend women are made.

      However, what cannot be denied is that there are fundemental differences between men and women. As a result, women and men are supposed to take some differen jobs. So though women have been granted equal pay with men, they do not receive it. This problem has been thought in recent years. Some women have attemptted to be engaged in some work that traditionally thought taken only by men. The fact is that they can achieve great success, too.

      In our society, women and men are equal. I think women will lead more splendid lives as they become equal with men.
